How many Bull Riders rode Bushwacker? ›

During his six-year premier-series career, Bushwacker brought professional bull riding to new heights and became a world-famous superstar. In those six years, he bucked off 64 of his 66 opponents on the premier series, bucking off 84 of 87 at all levels of competition.

Besides Mauney, the only rider to stay on Bushwacker for eight seconds on the PBR tour and get a score was Thiago Paguioto at the world finals in 2009 (Bushwacker's first PBR season).

Bull riders attempted to ride Red Rock 309 times and not one rider was able to ride him until the eight-second whistle in his professional career.

Mauney was finally successful in riding him after nine previous tries. Bushwacker is a bull who spent the majority of his career on the Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS), the major leagues of the PBR.

Most notably, Moraes became only the third man ever to ride 10 out of 10 bulls at the NFR. The other two being Jim Sharp in 1988 and Norman Curry in 1990.

Bodacious became infamously known as "the world's most dangerous bull" throughout the sport of bull riding and beyond due to his reputation for injuring riders. Hedeman is the bull rider known to have received the worst injuries from Bodacious, with Breding and West being runners-up.

Bodacious will forever be linked to the career of bull rider Tuff Hedeman. Bodacious already had a reputation when he and Hedeman faced off in 1993. After failing to ride him the required 8 seconds on two occasions, Hedeman rode Bodacious for a masterful, near perfect 95 points in November 1993.

During a ride in 1989 nicknamed "The Last Ride", Lane sustained fatal injuries when the bull Takin' Care of Business struck Frost with his right horn. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Lane Frost was killed during a bull-riding wreck at the 1989 Cheyenne Frontier Days rodeo. When Hedeman won his second world championship at the NFR that year, he successfully rode his last bull for the full eight seconds, and rode him an additional eight seconds in memory of Frost.
